Lands End Urban Hike

This is a repeat of a walk I hosted August 2nd, it was so popular that I've decided to try it again! So come enjoy the majestic views of Lands End! This will be a point to point hike, approximately 7 miles around the North Western corner of the peninsula with moderate elevation changes. We'll start at the top of the Lyon St steps at Broadway and Lyon St. We'll descend the stairs and explore the palace of fine arts, then continue along Chrissy Field with views of the Golden Gate Bridge. We'll turn south around the Presidio towards the Seacliff mansions and stop at some point for a break and a snack. We'll explore the mansions, walk the trails of Lands End, Seal Rocks, and Sutro Heights Parks At around 5pm we can walk the last mile along Ocean Beach and grab an early dinner at the Park Chalet. Bring your cameras there will be lots of great photo ops. If you parked near the stairs you can take the Geary or Fulton St buses back to Masonic and pick up the 43 which drops you but a few blocks from the start. (Or you could park at Ocean Beach, and take the bus to the starting point) Bring: Lots of water and a snack, fair for muni, layers, good shoes, sunsreen and friends are welcome. There will be lots of places to stop for breaks and take in the views. We'll be walking through some of the most beautiful areas of San Francisco. We'll be meeting at 12 and remember this is a point to point hike, you will have to be comfortable with ridding Muni or make other arrangements.
