SOS: A Package for Searching Contributed R Packages About the Speaker Spencer Graves is a prolific figure in the R community and a regular presence on the R-help mailing list. He is the author of five R packages, numerous publications, and two books in the field of applied statistics (Functional Data Analysis with R and Matlab). Spencer holds a B.S. from the University of Colorado at Boulder. M.S. degrees in Mathematics and Industrial Engineering and a Ph.D. in Mathematical Statistics from the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
