Health Fair for Integrative Medicine - Brainstorming/Organizing Meeting

This meeting is to brainstorm about organizing an integrative medicine health fair for San Francisco around late August, and perhaps as an ongoing series of events. I have a lot of thoughts on which I'll be asking for your feedback, but I'm also interested in your ideas independent of my own. Some questions include: Who should be recruited to participate? What type of events could/should be held? What speakers/presenters can be recruited? What venue(s) should be targeted? What events are taking place at that time that we might be able to be a part of? What costs would be involved? Before and after this meeting please post additional questions and discussion on the group message board here. Since it's summer and the weather is great, we'll meet outside in the selected park as planned. I'll bring a couple of camp chairs just in case, but hopefully the picnic table will be free or it's nice enough for us to just sit in the grass. The park is reasonably shaded, so be prepared with traditional San Francisco layers. Unfortunately, there has not been sufficient response in time to properly prepare for a potluck barbecue. If folks want food, we'll see about ordering something for delivery or perhaps migrating to a local Potrero Hill Restaurant. Instead of a $5 suggested contribution, there will be no pre-set fee. Instead, any food order will be split or paid for individually. New RSVP's will be accepted through the start of the meeting. BTW, it just occurred to me that there is an occasional cell reception dead zone in this area, at least for my carrier. So if you have questions, please try to email or call well in advance. If you reach my voice mail, leave me a message and I'll get back to you as soon as possible. Check the map to be sure you know where you're going. The park is on Arkansas near the top of the hill, one block from a 48 Muni stop (I believe it's considered 22nd St though the street doesn't run through). Street parking is usually pretty good.
