The ensemble consists of master musicians from selected musical cultures of the world who partake in an ancient form of intercultural dialog, turning musical tradition into the compost necessary for building a sound society.
Thursday Lunchtime Concert Series
Grab a sandwich and a summertime drink and meet friends and colleagues for a mid-day interlude of the finest jazz, world, and classical music under the open skies.
The 2009 Yerba Buena Gardens Festival, which takes place from May 2 through October 31, features over 100 free events including music, theater, circus, dance, poetry, family festivals and children’s programs with artists from Cuba, Bali, Brazil, Israel, Japan, Mexico, the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Spain, Sweden, and other lands. Yerba Buena Gardens is located between Mission Street and Howard Street and 3rd and 4th Streets in downtown San Francisco.
