Description:
Fred Bove, permaculturist and former director of Adult Education at Strybing Arboretum, will be at the Library to talk about gardening in small, urban spaces.
This talk will take us beyond the herb garden on the kitchen counter to an awareness of the amount of produce that can be coaxed out of tiny spaces for little effort or money: potatoes on the Chronicle building, gardening outside of windows and porches in hanging bags in Cuba.
Co-sponsored by the Stegner Environmental Center and the San Francisco Department of the Environment. A Green Stacks program.
