Description:
Born in China, now living in Paris, artist, author and children's book illustrator Chen Jian Hong draws on myths and legends from his native country as well as bringing attention to the diversity of cultures and the beauty of art. Chen says, "I try to tell stories in such a way that they become universal."

An exhibit of original artwork will be on display outside the Main Library's Children's Center from November 2-30, 2009. Mr. Chen will appear in person to give a program about his work on Saturday, Nov. 14th at 3 p.m. in the Children's Center, Main Library. For children and adults, ages 5 and older.
