    This is your best friend in the world, Wil Wheaton. You're getting this message because you live (relatively) close to Sacramento, and at one time or another, you've demanded that I come to your fine city.

    I thought I'd let you know that this coming weekend, October 28-29, I'll be coming to Sacramento for a science fiction and horror convention called From The Land Beyond.     Seeing that Wil said it would only take 100 demands to get him up here and we reached that number almost two years ago, I'm not terribly hopeful of seeing him up here ever. In fact, today he blogged about an Eventful demand for him in San Diego which he'll go to. That prompted me to check this again. I'm one of the 215 counted above but, honestly, I'm not sure how excited I'd be about it all these months later.

    Dude, if everyone else just wants to talk TNG all night, I will personally bring my chips and a table and we can play some no-limit Hold 'Em -- no problemo. Not that I don't love TNG... But personally I'd rather talk DRM or DMCA before TNG. That's just me.. I have at least 5 friends who will gladly drive down from Sacramento to see this.
