End of the Year Photo Shoot - Wild Animal Park at Postal code 92126, US

Prices - Wild Animal Park End of the Year Photo Shoot - Wild Animal Park - Organized by "Amoxtli" Walter O. Koenig What better way to end the year than in the company of friends and to make some new friends, to walk around with the camera, have some camera talk, lots of laughs and get a few hundred shots in. We will meet at the entrance of the Wild Animal Park at 8:45 a.m. and enter the Park at 9:00 a.m. sharp. Please be punctual. (You can call me, Walter on my cell if you are late and I will tell you where we are: 619 886 7893). We will walk our "usual route", first to the flamingoes and the meerkats, then to the big bird pond. From there to the Gorillas and through the exhibits of the "Heart of Africa" and to the the Cheetahs. We will then break for an early picnic lunch around noon (or before) at our usual favorite spot near lovely Guano Island. As the food at the Park is barely tolerable and also prohibitively expensive, I suggest you pack your own lunch and beverage. After lunch we'll check out the Lions and Tigers and we'll climb the hill from there to the Condors and Eagles. After that to the Elephant exhibit and then back to the big pond and the exit. - This is the route for those who want to stay with the group, but if you want to walk ahead, walk behind or go elsewhere, please do so. Be sure to wear suitable clothing, bring a hat, your long lenses, sunscreen and other San Diego outdoor gear. During our last photo shoots at the Park, we walked an average of about six to seven miles, so comfortable shoes are a good idea. If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, you can email me on my member profile, Amoxtli, or give me a call at the number above. The last nine photo shoots at the Park were a big success and everyone had a wonderful time and got some great shots. Admission to the Park now costs $28.50 for non-members and is free for members. Parking is $6 per vehicle for members, $9 for nonmembers. Keeper Club and Diamond Club members park free. Annual memberships for unlimited admission to the Park and the Zoo begin at $65. I suggest if you're going to attend more than one of our photo shots at these venues (I organize at least four per year) that you buy a membership. Important announcements: If there are any members who have a pass and can get a non-member in for free, please indicate so in your RSVP, so that those needing a pass can contact you. Through the generosity of several members this has been very useful on numerous occasions, in fact no one paid for admission on the last photo shoot at the park. Only yes or no RSVP's are allowed for the photo shoots. If you RSVP yes, please show up! If not, please change your RSVP, so we know you can't make it. This invitation has been posted on the web sites of the San Diego Photography Meetup Group and the Northern San Diego Photography Meetup Group. Some members of the South Coast Meetup Group from Orange County may join us for this shoot, so be sure to introduce yourself and make them feel welcome.
