The plan is to ride the route below starting from and ending at the parking lot on La Honda. The ride will be mostly on fire roads with some singletrack and the pace will not be all that fast. The ride should take approximately 2.5 hours. I would consider this a good ride for extremely fit beginners or intermediate riders. Ride Plan: Creek Crossing .66 East Ridge .17 Sage 1.84 Diamond Back .41 Coyote Run .31 East Ridge .79 Jack Creek Meadow 1.9 Hidden Spring 1.06 Engelmann Oak .08 Burnt Mountain .36 (Singletrack) Miles 7.58 Plus choice of either of the 2 routes below: Engelmann Oak (Left) .48 Bobcat Trail 1.0 (Singletrack) Couger Ridge 1.67 (Hard Climb) Boulder Loop .28 Rock Ridge .65 (Singletrack) Boulder Loop .48 Ranch House .47 Miles = 5.03 Total Miles = 12.61 or Englemann Oak (Right) 1.16 Couger Ridge 1.27 Boulder Loop .28 Rock Ridge .65 (Singletrack) Boulder Loop .48 Ranch House .47 Miles = 4.31 Total Miles = 11.89 We do this ride nearly every Saturday. Normally between 5 and 10 riders attend from my posting on the SD Mountainbike Meetup website. Some riders are pretty fast others are fairly slow so the group often divides into smaller sub-groups, but we never lose anybody.
