Underneath The Gun
Hailing from Corona, CA, Underneath The Gun delivers intense metal influenced hardcore. While their speedy and dexterous instrument gymnastics ignite firestorms in the mosh pit, the message behind the fury is one of love, hope and compassion. Trevor Vickers (guitarist) spoke about the band’s Christian beliefs and how it impacts their music, "Underneath The Gun while it sounds harsh is about our time on this earth and how we should use that time to get right with the lord." Epicentre
Epicentre is located in the community of Mira Mesa in the North City area of San Diego. We are open from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Epicentre facility is unique. We occupy a 5,600 square foot facility that includes a teen-run cafe, multipurpose room/performance venue for 525 people, full digital recording studio running ProTools HD, concert stage, multimedia computer lab, and record store. Epicentre is operated by Harmonium, Inc. with oversight by the Harmonium Board of Directors. Additional oversight of Epicentre is provided by the Mira Mesa Stakeholders Committee, San Diego Regional Teen Center Oversight Committee, and a Teen Board of Directors which meet monthly. History The movement to create a teen center in Mira Mesa began over two decades ago when teens told community leaders they had "nothing to do and nowhere to go." When the old Mira Mesa Library was vacated in 1992, teens began advocating for the conversion of the building into a teen-run cafe and retail store. The Mira Mesa Town Council soon voted a Teen Center as it's top community priority. In 1995, the San Diego City Council approved $870,000 in Community Trust Fund money to convert the old library into the teen center. In 1997, a door-to-door community campaign generated support for a $250,000 start-up grant provided by the State of California. Epicentre opened on January 1, 1999. Epicentre has become part of a movement where teens are treated as equal partners in their own community. Phone: (858) 271-4000Post a Countdown Widget
