Description
You're Invited! To the SD Vegetarians Unite: Pawty Animals FUNdraiser! (To help raise funds and awareness for Proposition 2!) On July 27, we'll gather at Christina & Nick's Loft and dial in to the nationwide conference call at 5:00 p.m. PST with other Vote Yes events across the state and hear the latest news on what's happening with the campaign. We will provide refreshments and hors' dourves! Just come ready to have a great time, and prepared to donate what you can to the campaign! Feel free to bring a friend who may not know about the campaign. We would like to suggest a minimum donation of $10 dollars. Please RSVP to our party and make your contribution online now. Please RSVP TWICE once at Party to Win and once at the San Diego Veg Meetup Event Page! (This will help Humane California keep track of all the house parties) Driving & Parking: There is a parking garage across the street on 5th Ave, just north of Broadway. I believe it costs $12. You can also get free validated parking at Horton Plaza off of 4th Ave for up to 3 hours. There is a validation machine near the food court on the top level. You may also find free parking on 6th and Beech. OR you can take the trolley. The blue line stops at 5th & C a block from our loft. We live at Broadway Lofts on the corner of 5th & Broadway. It is a yellow brick building that used to be a Bank. We will have a "doorman" to let you in the building from 3:45pm to 4:15pm. http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i308/CGRIERSON/Vegetarian/760x150_farm_animals_masthead_si-2.jpg Regarding the Campaign: Farm animals have been squarely on the minds of Americans and in the media from coast to coast in 2008. Join Californians for Humane Farms as we party to get out the YES Vote for Farm Animals on July 27th! We are helping to raise much-needed funds for this important issue that will appear on the November 4th, 2008 ballot in California. Every contribution helps us reach our fundraising goal of $1,000 and will help Vote Yes for Farm Animals raise the funds needed to wage a winning campaign. Keeping animals in crates or cages so small that that the animals can barely move is cruel and inhumane. All animals deserve humane treatment, including those raised for food. Californians for Humane Farms qualified this measure for the November 4th ballot with over 800,000 signatures and it is now a relevant issue for every voter in California! Thank you for your help! P.S. Contributions or gifts to Californians for Humane Farms will be used to help us win this campaign and alleviate the suffering of 20 million farm animals in California. These contributions are not tax deductible.
