Coronado, CA, October 2008 – Coronado School of the Arts (CoSA) will present Nations of San Diego International Dance Festival for five performances only on November 21-23, 2008, at the Coronado High School Performing Arts Center, 650 D Avenue, Coronado.

Nations is Southern California’s largest ethnic dance festival showcasing the rich cultural heritage and diversity of the region. This cross-cultural collaboration brings together over 200 extraordinary dancers representing cultures from around the globe. The countries and cultures represented this year include: Argentina, Bali, China, Cuba, East India, Japan, Mexico, Middle East, Native America, Philippines, Polynesia, Puerto Rico, Spain, to name just a few.

“Audiences will take an unforgettable journey around the world and, at the same time, witness a spectacular reflection of the diversity in Southern California’s dance community,” says Betzi Roe, Coronado School of the Arts Director of Dance and Producer of the Nation’s Festival. “Nations has always been, and will continue to be a cultural jewel for San Diego. It is a rare opportunity to see, and hear, and experience the costumes, music, and traditional movement from each culture performed by the region’s most talented ethnic dancers.”

Performances take place on Friday, November 21 at 10:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., Saturday, November 22 at 2:00 and 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 23 at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for military and seniors, and $15 for students.
