Dinner and a Movie

Sooo...The plans had to change. Unfortunately we don't all have college aged kids who can go see R rated movies at the drive in. Based upon responses it seems peopole would rather do dinner and a movie downtownish than Santee drive-in. After much deliberation and research it seems that the most painless/easiest transition/kid friendly situation would be to go to Corvette Diner and then walk across the street to the Hillcrest Landmark Theater and see a movie called "Morning Light". It's a documentary about a group of teens who train for and participate in a sailing race. It is PG, but I think it will appeal to all ages and should be good. (I've attached a link to the movie's website if you want to check it out). Ideally we would have a picnic instead of going to the Corvette Diner, but once I found out the IMAX at Fleet center was closed for upgrades it became tough to find a place to have a picnic that would allow for an easy trip to the theater after dinner. The movie starts at 4:55 and the next show is at 7:30, do I figured an early (4pm) dinner would be better than a very late one. Maybe we could get dessert after the movie? I hope these changes don't negatively affect anyone who planned on joining us, but please let me know if you can come so I can set up the reservation at Corvette Diner.
