Mikey Beats
Mikey Beats is a second generation San Diego native. Raised between the beautiful hills of Bay Park and the surf culture driven town of Pacific Beach, Mikey Quickly found his niche in music and continues down that path to this day. His musical journey started at San Diego’s legendary all age venue Soma, where when Beats was 16 the owner Len Paul helped him stay out of trouble by giving him a job and insisting that he played music. Len decided to teach him everything he needed to know about music bands and the constantly evolving music industry. Chris Cutz is a young veteran amongst San Diego DJs. At the age of 25, his wisdom and love of music, mixed with raw talent, has made him into a cultivator of the Hip Hop culture. Although his forte is Hip Hop music, you will find a vast array of vinyl gems in his arsenal. Spinning everything from Hip Hop to Down Tempo and Rock to Funk make him part of a rare breed of versatile and eclectic DJs. With turntablism in his blood, he executes cutting and scratching records like a master chef in the kitchen.
