Description
The WorldBear Cultural Center will host this festival curated by Dr. Kwaku Person-Lynn. To reach across cultures and races, the selected screenings offer a non-traditional view of the African culture throughout the diaspora. The film will portray struggles, glories, daily setbacks and small victories that make up the intricate and complex fabric of the African American experience, striving for a deeper awareness of African history. Dr. Kwaku Person-Lynn, founder of the Malcom X center in Los Angeles, is a historian, discographer, author, educator, filmmaker and radio producer. He holds a doctorate from UCLA in Afrikan World History and Music with a minor in Anthropology. Saturday
