Description

Silicon Valley Open Studios is an annual event that allows the public to visit Peninsula and South Bay Art Studios for free! During the first three weekends in May, over 300 Silicon Valley artists invite members of the community to experience various forms of visual expression in their studios. This year, three unique jewelers, April Vanderbilt, Moon Singer Gemello and Jody Lyle, will display and demonstrate their art the following days/times:
Dates: The first three Saturday’s and Sunday’s in May: the 2nd-3rd , 9th-10th, 16th-17th
Time: 11am-5pm each day
Address: 1045 Laurel Street San Carlos, CA 94070 (The nearest cross street is Brittan Avenue)
Together the three designers create a variety of hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind treasures.
About April Vanderbilt of Beadcentric Jewelry: Inspired by both Baroque and modern jewelry design, Vanderbilt enjoys combining colors that are pleasing to the eye -- sometimes subtle and sometimes bold. Semi-precious stones and Swarovski crystal are used with gold and silver accents. April continues to take various classes in art and jewelry design including Precious Metal Clay (PMC) technique. April's jewelry-crafting skills were acquired through formal classes and creative experimentation. http://www.beadcentric.com
About Moon Singer Gemello: Moon’s work values clean and simple lines, yet her modern design approach results in pieces that are both bold and unique in style and craftsmanship. Gemello’s use of accents such as semi-precious stones, feathers and wood, combined with silver, gold and other precious metals, make each handcrafted piece stand out and get noticed. She has been designing and fabricating jewelry since 1994. http://moonsingerjewelry.com
About Jody Lyle: Jody’s work embodies a passion for invention, cultural heritage as well as a personal discovery and expression. Over the past fifteen years, her university study, experimentation and apprenticing with masters, have honed her skills. Jody works with both silver and gold. Jody’s style of jewelry continues to evolve and always includes an element
