8:45 am-3 pm, Sunday, January 31 (host store: REI Berkeley)
Take the next step. Learn capsize recovery skills and proper use of rescue gear for paddling on open water. We'll practice rescues, so expect to get wet. Prerequisite: Kayaking-Level 1 or equivalent skill level. You'll meet at the venue. Use of kayak, paddle, and PFD (personal flotation device) is included in the trip price. This outing is recommended for ages 14 and older; under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Advance registration is required through your local REI Customer Service Department.
