New to kayaking? Join us for five hours of on-the-water instruction and practice in touring-style kayaks. Lessons cover proper gear selection and fit, boat control, basic safety skills and correct paddling techniques. We'll help you progress toward kayaking on your own. You'll meet at the venue. Kayak, paddle and life jacket will be provided. This outing is recommended for those 14 and older; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult. Advance registration is required through your local REI Customer Service Department.
