Habitat Restoration at the City of Palo Alto Baylands Nature

Join REI, Save The Bay, and the City of Palo Alto for a community service project, pulling weeds at the Baylands Nature Preserve. No prior experience is necessary. Save The Bay staff will provide tools, gloves, and project supervision. Ages 12 and older are welcome to participate; anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a supervising adult. Each participant will be required to sign a liability release form before commencing any project activities. REI will provide morning coffee and refreshments; Save The Bay will provide water and granola bars. Please expect to get dirty. We recommend that you dress in layers and wear long pants, long-sleeved shirt, closed-toe shoes (for protection), as well as a hat/visor for sunburn prevention. Bring a water bottle (with water) and sunscreen. Each volunteer will receive an REI Get Dirty t-shirt at the end of the morning. The maximum number of volunteers needed is 20.
