Let's meet at Guadalupe River State Park and take a 4 mile walk and we can let the dogs wade in the river and cool off afterward. We'll meet at 9:30am at the parking lot directly after you enter the park through the gate, and then drive down to the river access parking at 9:45 am. We'll take a walk through fairly level dirt trails for a little over 4 miles. Anyone who wants can then go down by the river and let the dogs (and themselves) wade in and cool off. You must keep your dog leashed at all times in the park, but you can use a retractable leash to let your dog wade in the river. Alternatively, bring your river shoes and wade in and cool off yourself! There is not a lot of shade on the trail, so bring plenty of water for you and your dog, and some sunscreen. If you are planning to go spend some time by the river you may want to bring some folding chairs and lunch. This Park is located in Spring Branch, TX. From 1604 & 281, you take 281 N about 14 miles to Hwy 46. Turn left on Hwy 46 and go about 7.5 miles to Park Road 31. Take a right on Park Road 31 about 3 miles to the entrance gate. The parking lot where we will meet is directly after the entrance gate.
