Rivalry Weekend, CO-ED Adult GAMES, 11am START

Football game is at 3pm, so we are gonna kickoff at 11am for plenty of prep/tailgate time before the big BYU/Utah Rivalry football game. Red and Blue are the 2 primary colors this week, if you have 0 affiliation then bring white. Bring the color of your favorite team to advertise your allegiance! Minor smack-talk is encouraged this week. Paid League RSVP Players get game priority, Non-paid RSVP's play second, crashers get leftovers! Please RSVP! We'll play multiple games, depending on the # of players signed up. If we have <26 RSVPs, we'll play 1 game with 2 teams. If we have 30-36 RSVPs, we'll play 1 game with 3 teams, 20 minute periods and almost 0 time between games. Play 2, sit 1, play 2, sit 1. If we have 36+ RSVPs we'll play 2 separate games. We may move players around to make appropriate games; please do not get your feelings hurt if you are moved! We shuffle players to get 2 reasonably even games WRT ability. We will divide the players up as we see fit, please no whining. Please be there READY TO PLAY @10:45pm. WE START ON TIME, so if you show up at 11am YOU ARE LATE and may get secondary game. Roll-Call is already over by 11am, SNOOZE YOU LOSE! We play rain or shine! In 4 years we've canceled games ONCE due to weather (so show up to play, even if it's raining). PLEASE RSVP IF YOU ARE GOING TO BE THERE! When people do not RSVP, we can end up setting up the wrong field for the # of players that actually show up! When you RSVP we pick the correct sized field for our turnout! Please RSVP, it takes you 30 seconds and makes it more fun for everyone. "MAYBE" RSVPs may be changed to NO at 5pm on Friday if the game fills up prior to you figuring out if you can make it. First 26 players will be on main game, if you are a crasher or late, you could wind up in 2nd game! GAME DETAILS Nearest restrooms are 400m away (just so you know). Outdoor Game; Dress Appropriately. BRING WATER. NO EARRINGS OR JEWELRY. NO BASEBALL CAPS. ATHLETIC GLASSES ONLY (no reg glasses). SHIN GUARDS REQUIRED. If we have enough for 2 games, we will separate players by skill level (please no whining). FUN GAME; If you are a great player, we expect you to "play down" to your opponents a bit. You can play 100% against one player, but have to take it easy against a beginner/novice. SAFETY FIRST! There are plays that are "legal" by FIFA rules, that we discourage. We are NOT a comp league, what important is that you don't hurt anyone, or put you/them in a situation where someone COULD get hurt (we get hurt enough as it is). Yes you might be able to get to the ball before your opponent shoots, but if they are winding up it's a high-risk move, so just let them take the shot and nobody gets hurt. Same for slide tackles, yeah you "can" do it, but we have to work on Monday so it's best to not try. If you want a higher level of play/competition, contact John C and he'll show you where you can play without these restrictions. 11am Kickoff; Be there for roll call and warm up @ 10:45pm. After roll call, we choose sides, then kickoff. we play for 90-120 minutes, depending on the # of players. Jerseys are Red, or Blue. Bring BOTH! There is a wait list when RSVPs fill up. Check to see if you made the game after RSVP deadline closes. Please put your photo on your Meetup profile if you do not have one. We need this for roll call prior to the game. If you cannot make it, PLEASE change your RSVP to "NO", or call me (John (801) 867-0306) if you do not have computer access and I will do it for you. YES RSVPs that no-show will get bumped for a week or two, to make room for people that actually show up when they say they are going to! Guest RSVP No-Shows have the same penalty as if you do it, so make SURE your buddy shows up, because they are responsible for your reputation! Guests are encouraged for this game.
