100 Years of Rodeo Exhibit at the National Steinbeck Center

the National Steinbeck Center will Celebrate 100 years of Rodeo with a new Rodeo Exhibition debuting in June and participating in the Colmo Parade on Saturday, July 10th.

California Rodeo history related sculptures, and paintings and drawings will be featured in the National Steinbeck Center's Gabilan gallery. Bronze sculptures by Charles Russell and Frederic Remington from the Monterey Museum of Art's Davis Collection and works by Jo Mora from the collections of the Monterey History and Art Association and the Jo Mora Trust. The exhibition will be open as part of the Salinas First Friday ArtWalk, June 4th, 2010.

Saturday, July 10th, the Kiddie Kapers Parade and the Colmo Parade will end at the NSC. A special Rodeo Sponsor" event will take place at the National Steinbeck Center beginning at 5:30pm and parade winners will be announced at the National Steinbeck Center directly following the parade.
