Description
Trail: There are two trail options, but only one event stamp. At the Start/Finish, you will pick up a map with driving directions on how to get to the walk trailheads. One trail is rated at 1, suitable for strollers, but not wheelchairs. The route follows city streets and a Historical Trail around town. The second trail is rated a 3 and walks on gravel/dirt roads up Spiral Drive. This route provides beautiful views of Salida. Large wheel strollers can complete this trail with difficulty, but not wheelchairs. Please allow 2 1/2 hours to enjoy either walk. Restrooms are available at the start/finish and the trailhead (Riverside Park). Carrying water is highly recommended. Special Events: River: Arkansas. Railroad: Denver/Rio Grande.
