Wine Tasting Basic Course 3: Chardonnay

(From Jill) If you've seen the Wine For Newbies website (http://winefornewbies.net/2009/09/wine-for-newbies-ebook-difference/), you know about Bill Wilson's new E-book, "The Wine for Newbies Wine Tasting Course." We've put together a series of "lessons" that run through the e-book's 6 types of wines (Reisling, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon). It's a great way to learn more about the basics of wine. Bill Wilson's whole purpose is to help us learn what we like and don't like in a wine and to be able to describe our likes and dislikes to others (which makes wine shopping and ordering less intimidating). He believes we can only do that through tasting. We like that approach :-)! We've done Reislings and Sauvignon Blancs. This third date is for Chardonnays. No fee, but for this session we need volunteers to bring one the following wines or some hors d'ouevres. So, if you can bring something, include what you're bring with your RSVP. The wines we need are: 2 Bottles - an unoaked Chardonnay from Australia or California 2 Bottles - a Chablis 2 Bottles - a Pouilly-Fuisse 2 Bottles - a traditional California Chardonnay ****** *When you RSVP, I will email you with Jill's address:) Hope to see you there!
