Enchanted Gathering: Egyptian Honoring The Dead Friday, November 6, 2009 ~ 6:00-9:00pm (ceremony @ 7:00pm) Nichols Ranch ~ 13500 Marengo Rd., Galt, CA 95632 Join us in bringing the Gods & traditions from our past into our present. Rekindle the flame of magick in the heart of humanity. Reconnect with Nature to promote harmony, balance & spiritual growth. Come! Be alive & celebrate the awakening of your spirit within! These monthly gatherings bring together a wide variety of people & honor all of the Gods & traditions throughout the world, in a place of unconditional love & acceptance. Each gathering focuses on a different culture or path, designed to develop inner awakening & bring like-minded spirits together in unity. Each gathering features a main ceremony, followed by comradery & feasting. This event is open to the public & there is no cost to attend, although voluntary donations are accepted, but not required. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. No drugs or alcohol is permitted at this event. Please bring your own non-alcoholic drinks & a dish for the communal potluck, as well as an offering for the Spirits, Ancestors & Fey. We bid thee... welcome! This Enchanted Gathering focuses on the ancient Egyptian culture. The Egyptians are known for their focus on death & the afterlife. They devised numerous rituals for preparing one for death, attending to the dying, funerary services, preseving the body, burial services, and afterlife guidance. This evening we will honor our ancestors & loved ones who have crossed over in the spirit of the ancient Egyptians. So, bring photo's of deceased loved ones (you will get to take your photo's home). Our main ceremony will feature a ritual lead by Wanda Nichols, after which we will give offerings & feast in honor of all the ancient Egyptian deities & our deceased loved ones. This gathering will be held outdoors, rain or shine.
