The Underground (Sacramento)

Valley Springs Church regrets to announce that the Underground will be closing its doors. This has been a painful decision. The final show will be Saturday, June 28, 2008. It has been a privilege for Valley Springs to host and oversee the ministry of the Underground for the past five years. However, because of the church’s inability to provide leadership and oversight for the kind of effective ministry we envision for the Underground, it has become necessary to close its doors. Although financial viability is a concern, it is not the only reason for this decision. The Underground Management Team agrees with this decision. There are no present plans to reopen in the foreseeable future. Valley Springs sincerely thanks all who have made the Underground a well-respected all-age concert venue for the whole Sacramento region. Musicians, bands, staff, promoters, agents and ministry volunteers have all contributed, and we are truly grateful for everyone’s efforts and participation.
