After the experience of Autori Messa, that in the 90's represented one of the few points of reference in Rome for the generations that were then emerging of artists and curators, Matteo Boetti recreated a place into which now converge some of the most interesting European young energies.

Between 1993 and 1996 Autori Messa gallery presented and followed more than fifty artists of different generations, such as Ontani, Clemente, Pizzi Cannella, Arienti, Nunzio, but mostly young artists. The Gallery was in fact dedicated to the promotion of emerging authors, with exhibitions that have significantly contributed to launching them into the market and the art world. Amongst those who are “born” or, at any rate, grew up in Autori Messa, we can mention: Salvino, Pintaldi, Basilè, Galliano, Racheli, Peill, Canevari.

From 1995 to 1996, Boetti was chief curator at D'Ascanio Gallery (Rome), where within a series of exhibitions entitled “In what sense Italian?” he presented 20 young Italian artists compared with a series of masters of the 20th century: from Balla to Sironi, from De Pisis to Braque, Munch, Boetti, Schifano, De Dominicis. Between 1996 and 2001 he produced music: two mini CD's with the bands “FabbricAttoriMisticiEccentrici” and “Superlusso”, as singer, lyricist and producer. The second CD was presented at GAM Museum Turin in a special series version with limited editions: 50 covers back and front made by 50 artists (amongst whom Accardi, Arienti, Cannavacciuolo, Cucchi, Galliano, Mondino, Ontani, Paladino, Pancrazzi, Salvo, Nunzio, Pintaldi). Only 50 editions each, signed and numbered (all together 5000 mini-lithographic prints 12x14 cm to compose 2500 CD limited edition, some still available at the Gallery). In 1999 he wrote and produced the documentary film “Operazione Super Lusso” (bought by TV Sat CNI - Stream Network) that contains interviews with the authors of the covers.

In March 2002 Boetti opened his second space, Autori Cambi, of which the first brand Autori Messa became editor and producer. If on one side Studio Matteo Boetti is the ideal continuation of Autori Messa, on the other it prefixes also to become a real centre of production of multiples, editions and events, also to be realized out of its space.

Studio Matteo Boetti has in program exhibitions and productions of young artists and curators, in the picture of a project/structure that, to the traditional rules of the art system goes parallel with other specific competences like inner press agent, outdoor marketing and promo responsables.

Studio Matteo Boetti intends to collaborate closely with free lance curators, galleries, museums and firms with similar goals.
