This is an idea, made in Italy, by Piccolo Lirico – Teatro Flaiano. It combines both tradition and new technologies, to create a musical experience in Rome's historic centre!
The Piccola Lirica offers contemporary reinventions of the operatic literature masterpieces, performed by singers and musicians in Rome in the intimate environment of the historical Teatro Flaiano. The performances don't last more than 90 minutes and are made pleasant by the structure of the Teatro Flaiano. This cosy theatre is ideally located in Rome's historic centre and is very near to the Pantheon.
Analyse, read over and decompose in order to recompose masterpieces, adding - instead of subtracting – suggestions deriving from literature and the performing arts; this is the formula of the Piccola Lirica. It is highlighting the strong feelings of the works and their contrasts which have made the Piccola Lirica so special. For its contemporary adaption it has been chosen by the newspapers The Independent (April 15th 2007) and The New York Times as Italian productions of melodramas in Rome.
The Gold Ticket is for the first 4 rows and includes an aperitif before the show. The spectators with Gold Tickets are required to show up about 30 minutes before the start time.
