Daily. Walk in daylight hours only. Start Point Hours: Mon. – Thurs., 6 to 9; Fri., 6 – 10; Sat., 6 – 10; Sun. and Federal Holidays, 6:30 – 8. Closed Christmas. Lake Needwood has restrooms (which may not always be open). For trail conditions in Rock Creek Park, call park office at 301-948-5053 or Park Police at 301-949-3010. PETS are permitted on the Park Trail when leashed. This trail is mostly on a paved hiker/biker trail which leads to Lake Needwood in Rock Creek Park. A short section is on natural surfaces that may be difficult for strollers, and is not suitable for wheelchairs, but may be easily excluded by both.
