Raw Christmas Eve Open House Potluck at John Sleckman's, East Meadow

Dear Conscious Community, Our dedicated community member John Sleckman wanted to let you all know about this special event at his home. Thank you John! Here's the plan for this lovely evening: THEME: Red & Green and everything Keen Try to have a red or green color in your dish that you bring, or if its something chocolate, perhaps you can make it in the shape of a Christmas tree or something like that, or use raspberries with it and mint leaves. Use your imagination! LASAGNA LESSON: We may assemble a community lasagna which we will assemble together at John's house and share. For this we need: 6-8 large zucchini 6 large tomatoes 1 broccoli 1 bunch kale 1 bunch carrots 2 cups of raw cashews, soaked at least two hours 2 cups pine nuts or pistachios olive oil sea salt 2 bunches fresh basil or spinach If those of you who are coming could pick one of these things to bring and let us know what you are bringing, that would be great, and then we can determine if we can make it. Music: Definitely music is on the agenda. John has a guitar, drum and tambourine. I'll bring a few things. RSVP: This is John's first time hosting, so if you can RSVP ASAP if you know you are coming, that will be helpful to him in food planning.
