Description
The keepers love sharing information about their animals. Kids (of all ages) love watching them interact with their charges and learning more about the special relationships they share and how the animals are cared for. Plan to spend some time watching the animals during their feeding times.

Mill Mountain Zoo
A new tiger exhibit was constructed in 1992, which was the first taste of the new exhibit design for the Mill Mountain Zoo. In 1993 the Mill Mountain Development Committee, a Council appointed Citizens Committee, approved the Mill Mountain Zoos master plan. Mill Mountain Zoo received accreditation from the American Zoo and Aquarium Association in 1995. The Zoo Society and Roanoke Jaycees signed an agreement for operation of the ZooChoo also in 1995 and the Roanoke County Sister City Picnic Pavilion was completed. 540-343-3241Post a Countdown Widget
