Event details: ID3 - Independence Day 3 Cycling Races
Description
Roanoke, VA 24011
This is an annual event held every July 4th weekend in downtown Roanoke, VA. Riders of all skill level or welcome and this event is perfect for spectators who want to get a taste of the Tour de France.
Friday is the Mill Mountain Time Trial - Race where the pros race! This classic uphill time trial is 1.87 miles with a gain of almost 900 ft.
Saturday and Sunday Criteriums - Criteriums are bike races held on short courses on closed city streets. Riders are put into categories based on skill, age, and experience - they even have a kid race for 4-6 year olds. Each category will then try to ride as many laps as they can in their allotted amount of time (typically 40-6o minutes).
