Make a Scene!
November 14, 2009 (3-5 PM) Â- Students will learn basic painting techniques used by muralists and backdrop artists alike. Techniques will include shading, highlights, washes, and color creating. Each student will paint and create a mural consisting of a garden or night sky that they can take with them at the end of class. Ages 9 and up. All supplies are included in the cost of this class, but students are asked to wear old clothes or something they can get dirty in. Laurie McDaniel earned her B.A. in art at Doane College in Crete, Nebraska. Since then, Laurie has been living in over-alls and covered in paint. She has painted and created amazing faux finishes around the world and has had her work featured in Architectural Digest and Telluride Style magazine. Website: http://weehawkenarts.org/
