Private sewing instruction for beginners through intermediate

Private sewing lessons are available for beginners and intermediate sewing enthusiasts. If you have never sewn, even if you don't yet own a sewing machine, these lessons are just right. It gives you the chance to learn to sew, without having to buy the machine until you know if you like it. Lessons are bookable in one hour increments.
$40/hr private lessons covers about as much as a 2.5 hour group class.
Students become familiar with the functions of a basic sewing machine, learn to sew a straight line, pivot a corner, zigzag, learn to use fusibles, and to construct projects. Then we go on to learning to read a pattern, take care of your machine, and how to assemble clothing or home decor items.
Private lesson times are generally available on Thursdays and Fridays in this studio.
Instructor LOVES to teach sewing, weaving, spinning yarn from the wheel, and wet-felting.
