Sunday, 11:30 am–5 pm Body Worlds & the Brain includes more than 200 authentic human specimens – including entire bodies, individual organs, and transparent body slices – preserved through Plastination, a revolutionary specimen preservation process. This all-new presentation highlights neuroscience, brain development and performance. The Exhibit features twelve actual human bodies that have been preserved through the process of Plastination, guests are able to learn about human anatomy, physiology and health. Through this exhibition guests get a first-hand look at the complex nature of our physical composition and a better understanding of how diseases and negative lifestyle choices impact the body. Each individual pose of the plastinated bodies is specifically positioned to serve educational aims and illustrate different anatomical features. For example, the athletic poses demonstrate the muscle systems used while playing sports or doing a specific activity.
