Scott's Run Thanksgiving Day morning mini-hike

Burn a few calories on this beautiful 2-3 mile hike. Scott's Run overlooks the Virginia side of the Potomac, near Great Falls. ItÂÂ's a short hike, but it is not flat. WeÂÂ'll see the Potomac, ScottÂÂ's Run, a small waterfall, and climb up and down some interesting terrain. Hike should take 1-1/2 to 2 hours max. A great way to slow down and appreciate the holiday in nature's splendor. Hiking shoes recommended. We will be finished with our hike by 12:00 p.m. ÂÂ- plenty of time to get showered and dressed for dinner! Meet at the Cooper School at 10:00 a.m., since there is limited parking at Scott's Run. Directions to meeting place: From MD- Exit Beltway on Georgetown Pike (193). Left at top of ramp. Right at first light where you can turn after crossing back over the beltway, and left into the school parking lot. From VA- Exit Beltway on Georgetown Pike (193). Right at top of exit ramp.
