One-Way Hike from Rosslyn to Bethesda on Capital Crescent Trail

This moderate 8-mile hike follows a flat paved rail trail that slopes gently uphill in places. Moderate rating is due to distance. WeÂÂ'll meet at Rosslyn Metro at 9:45 a.m. and head across the Key Bridge to the start of the Crescent Trail. WeÂÂ'll follow the trail to Bethesda, passing many historical sites along the way, including Batteries Vermont and Martin Scott, Fort Sumner, Loughborough Mill, and many bridges, tunnels and aqueducts. Upon reaching Bethesda, weÂÂ'll have lunch at either SweetGreen (gourmet salads and yogurt) or Tara Thai (Thai food), depending on group desires. Lunch will be pay as you go. After lunch, weÂÂ'll walk up to Bethesda Metro for our return to Rosslyn, or wherever your home may be.
