      rXg Fundamentals - March 2019

RG Nets Fundamentals Training Class RG Nets, Inc. is conducting a 3-day training class for network operators using RG Nets gateways and controllers to manage their Revenue Generating Networks. This class is designed to be taken in conjunction with rXg Clustering offered the following week. We recommend staying over the weekend and enjoying the world class Lake Tahoe area skiing / snowboarding in between the classes.  The fundamentals course spans three days with five flights. Audio visual aids are utilized to introduce each session followed by a technical exercise configuring an rXg in a simulated wireless network. Topics Covered: rXg product overview bootstrapping an rXg on bare metal bootstrapping a standalone rXg in virtualization standard WAN, SD-WAN, cgNAT LAN, VLAN, RADIUS controlled DVLAN combining DVLAN microsegmentation with cgNAT and dynamic BiNAT for PAN and vRG rXg policy engine theory of operation and practical SDN orchestration implementation basic troubleshooting An optional certification exam may be taken at the end of the course. Concepts and sample networks defined in the sessions are covered in the exam.  Successful completion of this exam is a prerequisite for attending advanced training classes. Location and Hotel The training course will be held in the RG Nets Reno Training Facility located at 8725 Technology Way, Suite B1, Reno, NV 89521. The training course begins at 9AM each day, ending at 5PM the first two days and usually by 2PM on the final day. Students who wish to stay for extra time on the last day for additional help with the exam may do so for an additional fee. There is beautful world class skiing and snowboarding at South Lake Tahoe for which the Reno airport is the primary gateway. We highly recommend coming a day early or staying a day late. One of the principles at RG Nets, Inc., is an AASI certified snowboard instructor and is available for private lessons on the days leading up and the days after the training.  There are two hotels that are located within walking distance (15 minutes / 1.2 miles) of the office. They are the Hilton Garden Inn and the Residence Inn. The cost is approximately $150 per night at either hotel. The Hilton Garden Inn at 9920 Double R Blvd in Reno, NV, less than five minutes from the office by car. The hotel offers a special rate (code 3021536) for RG Nets training attendees and transportation to the facility if requested. This hotel has a small bar within it manned by our friendly neighborhood bar tender Eduardo. We often meet for drinks at this bar to swap war stories. Use this link into your browser: There is also a Marriott Residence Inn that is located one block away from the Hilton Garden Inn. If you wish to stay at a casino we highly recommend the Pepppermil. The Peppermill is an rXg site. An RG Nets corporate rate is available at the Peppermill Resort Spa Casino. The Peppermill Resort Spa Casino is approximately 20 minutes away (by car) from the RG Nets training facility. Attendees must make their own provisions for transportation between the Peppermill and the RG Nets training facility. The Peppermill operates a hotel shuttle (free) and the attendee may use taxis and/or car share services such as Uber / Lyft in lieu of renting a car. The special rate code (private line code) is R282. Our special rate code allows you to stay at the Peppermill for as low as $65 per night. If you are willing/able to rent a car and wish to stay near the airport an excellent hotel choice is the Hyatt Place. We usually are able to stay there for approximately $125 per night. NFR Demo kits Attending the training allows you to purchase an A4 or S4 NFR demo kit at the following discounted prices: A4 NFR kit - $2000 S4 NFR Kit - $3000 Purchases of NFR Demo kits must be made in advance.
