100.1 The X presents "Stones For Bones", 19 of our favorite local bands performing one of their favorite Rolling Stones tunes on Saturday, November 21st at The Celebrity Showroom inside John Ascuaga's Nugget from 7:00-10:30pm (doors at 6:00). This is a 19th birthday party for KTHX and all proceeds from the show will go to several charities/non-profits - The Nevada Opera, The Reno Chamber Orchestra, and The Washoe County School District's "Music In Schools" program. Additionally, Whole Foods will be making a food donation to St. Vincent's Pantry in exchange for promotion as the title sponsor. Tickets are $19. Each band has 10 minutes to plug-in, play, and unplug. During each band's set-up and tear-down, the DJ's from The X will fill the down time with surprise help from The Nevada Opera, The Reno Chamber Orchestra, and The Washoe County School District. Keep Truckee Meadows Beautiful will be conducting the raffle of signed music memorabilia.
