Paul Montgomery "Pauly" Shore (born February 1, 1968) is an American comedian and actor best known for starring in a series of comedy films in the 1990s and hosting a video show on MTV in the late 1980s and early '90s. Early life Shore was born Paul Montgomery Shore,[1] the son of Mitzi Shore (née Saidel), who founded The Comedy Store, and Sammy Shore, a comedian.[2][3] Shore was raised Jewish[4] and grew up in Beverly Hills, graduating from Beverly Hills High School in 1986.[5] Career Shore's career began when he became a MTV host, alongside Jeff Leiber, a position he held from 1989 to 1994.
