Fierce Job Hunting Workshop - Auburn

Mark Hovind, President of JobBait, is offering free 90 minute workshops to help folks in Auburn, WA find a job, no matter how much they make. If you've lived, worked or shopped in Auburn, you're invited! Get the most out of the workshop: review the Meetup's About Page and come prepared. Mark reviews value prop letters, giving priority to those who have sent letters out already, and highlights a specific Fierce Job Hunting feature weekly (see Claudette's comment on this week's topic). How this workshop started "The needs of job-seekers have never been greater than they are right now," Hovind said recently in a meeting with Auburn Mayor Peter Lewis. "Unemployment is growing ... people are losing their homes, their pride, their self-respect and their dignity. It's a terrifying environment. Since we both live and work in Auburn, let's do something about it." Mayor Lewis agreed, and offered to promote the workshops and let participants use city facilities as a meeting place. The first few workshops were held in City Hall, and then moved to the White River Museum on May 7, 2009.
