More Bands TBA - Massive Moth

With songs like “23” of 2009 release Heavy Hand of Whimsy, Salem band Massive Moth skitters on the edge of the progressive. While its angular and sharp guitar riffs surely enter into the court of King Crimson, Massive Mothâ€"like a true 21st-century schizoid bandâ€"is all over the map stylistically. We are left with a handful of songs that are nearly what they should be: pop songs that aren’t really poppy, ballads that don’t take themselves seriously, and fairly light heavy rock. As a package, though, Massive Moth is a fun band that moves your feet and provides the perfect getaway from the normal tropes of modern rock.
