      Value-Added Proposition:

      Key elements of program include

      1. Lean training is about understanding customer value, transformation of processes and products, continuous improvement. Waste removal is inherent in all these elements.
      2. Rethinking organization.
      3. Value stream mapping as example of training
      4. Training controls similar to class grades to monitor progress
      5. Every employee works at three levels: teacher (concept), coach (implementation), and mentor (carrier application, vision). Mentoring links training to carrier growth and strategic benefit of organization.
      6. Prepare people to receive concepts. (i.e. projects are systems, what is “true north”, Primavera)
      7. Needs to be woven into your other training programs
      8. Managing frustration. “Fail often to succeed during training”
      9. Frequency of training and level of corporate commitment.
