Description
A gentle breeze blows, clearing the fog from a moonlit patch of earth in the forest. A couple of figures approach a stump in the moonlit glade, with love in their hearts and a shared purpose of Vision. Together they assemble the few sacred objects that they brought with them; a chalice of silver, an acorn, a bit of tobacco for an offering and a small, single candle. At this time between the worlds, the center of the ritual space...the altar is prepared. The pair join hands and begin to share the energy of their tradition, that of many traditions, The Earth Religions. The Rite has begun... The center of the ritual space for many traditions is the altar. Wether it be an old stump or a rock in the middle of the forest, or a large dedicated table in a special room, the altar for many traditions is the center focus of intent for ritual work. Prepare yourselves to delve into one of the mysteries of the Earth Religions, the Working Altar. What is represented on your altar? Are there candles, ceremonial blades, a cauldron, a pine cone? Why are these things on your altar? Do you keep an altar year round? What do differnt traditions do with their altars and why. From the basic, to the "Living Altar" Let us together discover new ideas and define what our altars mean within our lives. PLEASE NOTE: Due to limited space, please DO NOT RSVP YES, if you really are a MAYBE! If you don't think that you can make it for this meetup, please feel free to RSVP NO and leave that space open for someone that can attend.
