Slalom Race

You'll want to get there early to check out the course and warm up your legs - but this is a fun mid-week get out. Not for the faint of heart!!!!!!!! However, if you do not compete you are welcome to cheer on those who do and then meet us in the bar for wings and things! Race starts at 7:30 Twilight lift ticket is $25 Race fee is $10 a dozen wings is $4.50! Every Wednesday, weather permitting, Hidden Valley Club hosts Adult Races from January to February. You only need to be a strong intermediate skier and wearing a helmet - but there will be some racers who go all out and break out speed suits. Races alternate between GS & Slalom, with a grand finally of a "super-G". After the race people usually ski to closing and get a drink & hot wings before heading home. -I recommend getting clear lens goggles for night time skiing. HVC will also be hosting adult training this season -usually on Mondays. Also on Mondays RMSC members will be attending training by long standing member John Pierce (also on meetup.com) at Mt. Creek or a more local bar racing league at Tuxedo Ridge (Greg Bassel with be organizing). Training & racing at Hidden Valley will take place on either Helenback or the recently expanded Breakneck trail which has just passed USSA homologation inspection (which means itÂÂ's about twice as wide as it used to be!)
