Meet Helen Thayer, named "One of the Great Explorers of the 20th Century"

Helen Thayer, named "One of the Great Explorers of the 20th Century" by National Geographic and National Public Radio, has walked and skied for 27 days in the Arctic, pulling a 160-pound sled for 364 miles in order to become the first woman - and, at age 50, the oldest person - to travel on foot and under-supplied, to the magnetic North Pole.
