Americas Best Idea - the national parks - gets even better this summer...its free The National Park Service announces three summer weekends when entrance fees to all 391 national parks will be waived. Were inviting you to come by for a visit, to relax, to learn a little bit about this great nation and to just have some fun. Tough economic times call for economical fun, and you cant beat Americas 391 national parks for family time, fresh air, and opportunities to learn about our great country.

Fort Stanwix has two names. Named for Gen. John Stanwix, this was the fort's name under the British. When the Americans rebuilt it was then named for Gen. Phillip Schuyler.
