See It Big! is an ongoing series guest-curated by Reverse Shot editors Michael Koresky and Jeff Reichert

January marks the first anniversary of the opening of the Museum’s beautiful main theater. The theater is a great venue for those classic movies that simply demand to be seen in their original form, on the big screen.

See It Big! celebrates the immersive power of the theatrical experience. The best available versions of each film are screened, from beautifully restored 35mm and 70mm prints to new digital restorations. But it is not just the quality of image and sound that makes these screenings memorable; it is also the opportunity to see these movies in a social setting, with an audience and away from the distractions of daily life.
