Understanding of composition, perspective and values will be learned. John will do a demonstration on creating a simple painting. Each student will do one or two studies to learn the landscape and still life, using a palette knife. By organizing the shapes in color and limiting the palette, simple paintings can be created narrowing down the endless details and making the overall experience fun and enjoyable. Class will take place outdoors and in the studio.

A past student wrote, John Clayton's technique was great. He loves painting and described things well and did good demos. This class was comfortable, warm, welcoming, relaxed, friendly.
