Description
This walk is on trails of blacktop, gravel road, woodchips, and tall grass firebreak with small hills and tall grass natural prairie. At times the tall grass trails may have grass that is fairly tall. Be aware the grass may be wet. Visit the Learning Center (free admission) to learn about the restoring of the Iowa natural prairies. Herds of Buffalo and Elk may be seen from the trails as they roam their vast fenced prairies. Everyone is encouraged to carry water. NSNWR patch is available at the Learning Center Book Store. 9 AM-3:45 PM Mon - Sat; Noon - 3:45 PM on sunday Closed major holidays
